Just wanted some opinions on whether or not I should continue to pour money into it or, just let it fade away.
Car has just over 210K on it now, all maintenance has been kept up with, but there are a spate of things happening now. Throttle body has just started acting up, starter is quickly going south, fuel pump is getting fairly noisy. Transmission shifts well, save for getting it into reverse while the engine is running. Its not a clutch problem, the tranny is just old and sloppy :) The bearings on the inner drivers also might be an issue.
I don't think I've 100% solved the electrical problems either, even though it has a new alternator, and battery. Voltage is down sometimes, not a cable problem as far as I have been able to determine, almost seems like there is a load somewhere drawing the voltage down.
So I'm looking at replacing the throttle body, starter, might as well do the fuel pump as well. Also needs a drivers side steering knuckle. AND of course if I'm replacing the steering knuckle, might as well do the wheel bearings while I'm there.
Right now its my eldest daughters car, but looking at what needs to be done, I'm considering throwing in the towel on it. Most likely I'd take it back and just keep it around, drive it until the wheels fall off so to speak.
Thanks, Drake.
