Greetings,

I have this air bag light on for 6 months now.. I finally had to take the car into an indy shop specialized in Saab and Volvo for different symptom. While the 01' Saab 9-3 SE was in the shop, the tech ran the scanner and discovered that the air bag light was on due to the front passenger door impact sensor had failed. I opt not to have it replaced by the shop. I had no idea that the doors had the impact sensor at all. Anyways, a friend had an extra door and he gave me the impact sensor for free so that I can try it out to see that's my problem or not. I installed the sensor and the air bag light is still display. I thought this would be self healing issue once I replaced the failed sensor with another one.

Does anyone here know if the light need to be reset by someone with a Tech2 or it will reset with number of starts? Do I have to buy a specific sensor for a specific car?

Please let me know if you know the answer.
