Although I only drive manuals, from what I've read here, the neutral safety/range switch could be causing this. I'd recommend exchanging the neutral safety/range switch with a good used one, since new ones are $350. Depressing the brake pedal turns off the gear selector lock allowing you to move it out of Park position. But it also sends a signal into gear range switch that is other half of neutral safety switch. Gear range switch tells transmission computer what gear has been selected. This neutral safety/range switch sits atop tranny right below battery, where acid drips on it corroding it. Acid emissions seem to be the norm, since alternator regulator tends to keep voltage measured at the battery greater than the 14.5 volt gassing voltage.
