water pump banjo bolt woes

Hi. What's the easiest way of removing that banjo bolt at the back of the water pump? My water pump decided to retire yesterday. The low temps aren't helping. All was going well until I hit that bolt. I have spent no less than 2 hours fiddling with it in freezing temps. The clearances down there are quite tight. I respect those who have done a water pump r & r. Any ideas?
