Hello All,

I have been running a cold air intake on my 99 9-3 base for the past 4 months. It has been great, increased power, better sound, but I am a stickler for perfection. My intake runs from the rubber hose down through the hole beneath the headlight and resides near the foglight beneath the bumper. I am the one that posted earlier about the carbon fiber body panels. I will be contacting that company to see about producing the intake that I am running but with modifcations. For instance, the pipe will run 2 3/4" to the rubber hose and gradually increase in diameter to the filter, basically like an air horn. And also a cover around the filter itself to keep the filter from coming in contact with with any wires and such that could disturb the airflow. I will also be checking into replacing the rubber hose from the intake to the compressor but replacing a small section with rubber to allow engine movement, and also the pipe from the intercooler to the throttle transition. Now, I know that this pipe would greatly benefit the engine, running higher boost, the pipes in my car are so hot that they are untouchable.

Now to the point, I am not sure how expensive this will be, but I have been thinking of doing a few small runs of 10, but I would like to gauge the interest of this board. If you are interested let me know, also tell me the max you would be willing to pay (CF is not cheap and may not be economical for very many people), how soon you would like to purchase and which pieces you would be interested in. If there is no interest I will not contact anyone to further discuss the possibilities of this. This is a long post, but I am really happy with my current intake and wish to improve upon it and help out the other saab enthusiasts.

Sorry for the long post,
Mike W.
