"Make sure you have rubber stoppers in the floor of the body of the car. You can jack it up and check by looking underneath. One of mine popped out and flooded the TWICE unit under the driver's side seat and was a $500 ordeal. Of course, I drove through 3ft of water, but still."
Based on the comment that I copied there are holes in the passenger compartment floor that an be used as drains for your problem after you remove the rubber plugs - temporarily only.
