Info from Motronic 2.8.1 manual... Posted by walt [Email] (#2707) [Profile/Gallery] (more from walt) on Thu, 4 Jun 2015 08:13:36 In Reply to: Is it possible to test MAF sensor?, august_month, Wed, 3 Jun 2015 19:46:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If the check engine light on dash is illuminated, faults can be read out on check engine light flashes using jumper wire with switch to ground on OBD connector pin 6 (third from right - gray/white wire) in top long row of pins. Turn ignition switch to ON without starting engine. Then turn on ground wire switch for half a second, then turn off switch. Then ECU will flash a series of 2 digit codes.
12 - no fault
21 - AMM
11 - secondary air injection
31 - intake air temperature
41 - coolant temperature
51 - throttle position
61 - oxygen sensor cylinders 1/3/5
62 - oxygen sensor cylinders 2/4/6
71 - rich/lean control cylinders 1/3/5
72 - rich/lean control cylinders 2/4/6
81 - evaporative emissions purge
91 - ECU problem
I don't have a V6 NG900 to verify this info, which is from Motronic 2.8.1 manual.
