Genuine Saab has a writeup here:

Basically put it in 4th, and have two 5mm diameter pins to put into the transmission alignment hole and the shifter alignment hole (the one for the transmission may need some type of stop on it so it doesn't fall in.. I'm not sure whether or not that can happen). Both pins should go in. If they don't, leave the one for the tranny in, and loosen the shift connection outside the transmission case, insert the pin in the shifter, and tighten it back up. You should be all set.
If you suspect it's the clutch, get the front wheels off the ground, start it up, put it in gear, and push in the clutch all the way. Simply because of friction in the gearbox, the wheels will spin a little, but can easily be stopped by hand. If you can't stop them by hand, it's the clutch.
That's a two person job generally....
