My ex-wife's Viggen acted like that and the Saab shop always said it was the throttle body. They'd clean it, replace it, etc. I don't think the issue was ever resolved to our satisfaction.
The car would either completely stall or go into limp home mode. This often occurred at highway speeds, in traffic. Not good.
