I've taken my glove compartment off so many times I've lost count. The center console I've only done once and I struggled with it.
There are two torx screws on the side that are visible when you open the car door. Behind the glove box door there and 3 or 4 torx on the upper ridge and one that connects the kick panel you are trying to replace. A 10 mm hex is down low by the passenger door and the only other item that is an issue is the glove box light. Just pry it up and unplug it. The glove box will pull straight out. Just make sure you fish the wire connection back through the opening when you slide the glove box back into place. Nothing worse than putting all those torx screws in and realizing the power cable for the light isn't there.
