Clarion CD Changer problems Posted by Paul [Email] (#792) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Paul) on Sat, 14 Oct 2000 01:16:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've recently installed an aftermarket Clarion CD Changer(CDC 635) in my 97 900SET. The head unit will usually not recognize the changer after the car has been turned off for any peroid of time. I've read the on-line fix under the stereo section of the FAQ located at: http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/archive/files/faq/cdchangerng900.html. This doesn't work. The only thing that seems to work is to momentarily remove fuse #13 and replace it before you loose all the presets and have to enter your security code.(less than 5 sec.) This is HIGHLY annoying because the fix lasts only as long as your ignition remains ON. There has GOT to be a better fix! I'm considering re-wiring the circuit that uses fuse #13 to a momentary off switch to be located on the left side of the steering column. Any Ideas??
