If I could do it over again I'd like to convert to Heim joints or something. These bushings are simply not an ideal design; that joint is there to let the radius arm pivot, and also to absorb shock for noise control and comfort. If you make it stiffer, which a lot of people desire, you make the joint so stiff that it doesn't allow the radius arm to pivot freely. It almost seems as though it could cause a catastrophic failure when using some of the stiffer materials....
