I work on these cars on a daily basis, and price might not be too high, depending on location. Only relation between master cylinder replacement and leaking slave cylinder now, is the MC is new, slave old. New hydraulics pushed old slave seals past the edge. Transmission has to come out to replace the slave cylinder, so makes sense to replace everything that wears while trans is out. I would recommend the same repair. If something fails that could have been replaced when the trans was out, do you really want to pay to remove the transmission again? Labor is too much to "cheap out" on this repair.
