Not familiar with that year.
IAC valve sticking: These vehicles used to have a manual throttle body and a separate idle air control valve that bypasses the throttle plate. These valves would become fouled up with PCV and turbo oil seal contamination. The valve can be removed and inspected, a fresh 9V battery will operate/test it. Need to swing its gate valve open and hold open with a screw diver etc, do use a carb/TB spray and not near any paint finishes. Put some oil on the pivot points.
Throttle body should be cleaned, a cloth or paper towel with some mild solvent will work. Gas or paint thinner. Do not hose it down with throttle body spray cleaner. You need to open the throttle plate.
This T5 engine management system will allow the engine to idle with the turbo feed pipe removed to expose the TM.
While in there with cold engine, grab TB and intake manifold to make sure that these have no movement.
The PCV fitting at the valve cover gets *very* brittle with age+heat+chemicals. Fitting a new hose may be the end of it.
