where hard line attaches underneath caliper. Hard line on 1996 and older caliper screws into top of caliper where it has a gooseneck bend close to fitting. Both ends fittings are 10x1.0 metric on bubble flares on 3/16-inch line. I used Cr-Ni brake line, because it's easier to bend (and re-bend). Instead of 10mm hex wrench fittings, substituting 12 or 13mm hex wrench fitting will allow more torque without rounding corners as easily. You can find more info on making brake line, tubing, flare nuts, tools at FedHill link below. They will sell you the parts to DIY new brake lines as well as rent the flare tool, but unfortunately, won't make custom lines. A 10x1mm brake bleeder screw like NAPA UP22069 screwed into flex line after hard line is removed will stop loss of brake fluid while DIYing new hard line.
