The cord is quite small, about the same size as the zip cord used to power table lamps. There is enough of a gap right at the junction of the hood and fender leading edges for the cord to pass freely without being pinched.
I store my Viggen in the garage all winter and this will be the fifth winter of storage. Wow! I didn't realize it had been so many years. I have not had any brake issues following storage. I normally have to start it and remove it from the garage for brief periods three or four times each winter to access tools and supplies needed for oil changes and tire swaps on my 9-5.
