HELP! Quaife LSD Transmission Question Posted by thetallguy [Email] (#1698) [Profile/Gallery] (more from thetallguy) on Tue, 13 Mar 2018 17:22:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I purchased a 2002 Viggen in May of last year. It has a rebuilt transmission with the Quaife LSD. The car has a distinct wine in 1st gear. All other gears are OK. In looking through other forums and posts on this subject I found some references to gear wine. I was hoping that someone else who had some experience with the Quaife could shed some light on this issue. Is it possible that the sound is possibly from a straight cut 1st gear? The car has the hardware for about 350 HP. The AC was even deleted using a really nice bracket/pulley substitute. Unfortunately I do not have the transmission specs.I have changed the transmission fluid...better but no cigar. Other than opening it up what can I look for? Thanks!
