Torque steer can be easily fixed at low cost by purchasing and installing the steering rack brace and larger rear anti-roll bar as offered by GenuineSaab.
My shifter was uncertain feeling until I installed GenuineSaab's urethane transmission mount. A very easy install.
The ride is rough in my convertible Viggen so future enhancements will be the 6-point front sub-frame brace and better springs and dampers.
Performance is good. Cabin is small, which is good in my opinion. I find the seats very comfortable but not so my wife. Seat wear seems to be very high, particularly the driver's side bolsters. Most parts are still available but there are some unpleasant surprises in this category too.
I don't know about the 3-door and 5-door models, but the convertible is really only a 2+2 car with the back seat accommodating young children only. Which is fine with me as the car is my fun summertime car and not a regular hauler.
So if your goal is a fun, unique, performance oriented car, to carry one or two medium frame or smaller adults only, then a Viggen will fit your needs.
