Side impact sensor again Posted by NCCaniac [Email] (#352) [Profile/Gallery] (more from NCCaniac) on Sat, 6 Jun 2020 17:32:34 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I have the new side-impact sensor for my 9-3 and the proper adhesive (from the previous thread) to re-attach the moisture barrier, but today when I pulled that back...other posts said it was easy to find the old sensor unit. See the photo linked from my gallery, but where is it exactly? I reached in through the hole in the door panel and felt around, but the area between the two sets of rivet pairs seems be behind another metal panel. The opening farther down nearer the door speaker has a cylindrical component (not the sensor) with some type of plug beside it.
I did not want to start taking out the rivets without knowing what I am taking loose so I thought I better check here before I take something apart I don't want to take apart.
