Charging battery with trickle charger Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Tue, 16 Jun 2020 14:38:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I usually do this with the batter out of the car, but this year I need to get someone else to do it as I'm not physically there. The battery will have to be charged with it inside the car.
I have a trickle charger (attached here for reference).
The instructions all a little confusing. It says "If the negative post is grounded to the chassis, then..." or "if the positive post is grounded to the chassis then..."
Anyone who's done this on the 9-3? Is it as simple as connecting the two clamps to the battery posts (with the the cables connected or disconnected?)? Do I need to connect the negative post to the "chassis" or can I just put it directly on the battery?
How long do you usually leave it for?
thanks!
