Ignition Switch or Neutral Safety Switch?

2002 9-3 135k - I've been having this issue for some time, usually in warmer weather. When the car is in D, the shifter diagram on the dash says it's in N and the car is sluggish when accelerating. When I put it in R, it says it's in a different gear.
Is this the Ignition Switch or the Neutral Safety Switch?
Thanks!
