Clearing "air bag" light after replacing driver impact sensor Posted by NCCaniac [Email] (#352) [Profile/Gallery] (more from NCCaniac) on Mon, 3 Jan 2022 11:37:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
A while ago the air bag light came on with my 2000 9-3 hatchback and my indy mechanic said the Tech II identified the driver's door collision sensor as the source of the code. I replaced the sensor this last summer, but as I do not drive that car as much now the light had not cleared and I just assumed it was one of those cases where you have to drive a certain number of miles or starts for the onboard computer to see the sensor is working and clear the light....like with a normal CEL.
The light is still on now, though, after driving the car multiple times for a total of at least 70+ miles. Does it require the Tech II to clear the air bag light in a case like this?
