Marshrats!!!!! Got into my saab engine compartment and set up a nest behind the driver headlight.
while in there they shredded the overhead hood insulation and used it for the nest. The varmints chewed up a few of my wires in the same place. Had to splice them back together.
I bought a small soap dish with cover at $1 at Dollar Tree. Drilled a number of holes in it and then cut a couple slices of Irish Spring soap to put in it.
Wedged it in the area by the power steering reservoir and its been over a year and they havent returned.
I know some people say to use mint candy but it would prolly melt in there.
The irish spring soap holds up well and i easily replace it every 4-6 months.
The rodents have very sensitive noses and this stuff for them is like ammonia up the nose to US.
