Does the SID also control the dash gauge lights?

A few years back I had BBA Remanufacturing (RIP) repair the SID unit from my 2000 9-3. I had also replaced all the bulbs behind the dash gauges as several of them had burned out. A few months ago, the SID screen has started to have issues again....sometimes fading out and other times displaying like the brightness is cranked up much too high. Around that same time the lights behind the dash gauges started being unreliable. Sometimes they would work (at night) and sometimes they would go out after 20 minutes or not come on at all. For the last several weeks they now do not come on at all. Since it is all of them, I know it is likely not the bulbs, but I am wondering if the issues with the SID might also have a side-effect on the behavior of the gauge bulbs. Or could this be a fuse issue?
