I've heard people claim to have done that, but no one's backed it up with how exactly they did it or what tools they used. The closest I heard was someone who said they have small hands, but that was it. I've replaced several oil pressure switches on these cars, and I can't see a way to do it without removing the starter. Personally, I think the worst part of the job is getting the plugs together on the new switch once it's installed. Getting the starter out isn't terrible, as long as you can break the mounting bolt up top free.
