The front driver's side window on my 2002 Saab 9-3 is stuck down (again). When this happened 2 years ago people on this forum suggested jumpering the contacts on the wire harness to diagnose whether it was the switchpack/wiring/motor. Back then that didn't work, but (oddly) a new switch unit did. This time the jumpering still didn't work, but I've thoroughly decorroded/rebuilt the switch and bench tested it, and while it tests OK it doesn't raise the window. (And I can't hear any sound from the door, not even a little tick when I hit the switch.)

I don't have time right now for further diagnosis, but it would be great if I could at least get the window up so I can park it outside at work. Any suggestions how to do that? Last time it was suggested that with the inner door panel off the window can be raised manually, but while getting the panel off is straightforward I can't see what to do next. Just pushing up on the window doesn't seem to budge it.
