John,

I am not the type to take risks on cars so I bought an extended warranty from from warrantygold.com. They cover things like CV joints, door hardware, radios, things that other warranty companies don't. I would research it a little, but my cost was $1800 for $0 deductible 4 more years up to 100,000 miles (but I have a 2.3L non-turbo). The best part is that I am paying over 3 months in 3 installments, no interest or service charge.
I figure one major repair would cost $1000 on my car and nothing beats the peace of mind I have (at least for another 50,000 miles). After I'm done paying off the car and the warranty expires, occasional repair costs won't seem so bad.

If you do end up buying from them, please let them know that I referred you to them. I would get a small reward, and you could also. I will e-mail you the info.
