Yes, the rears are discs, but Saab put a small drum in the rotor hub for the parking brake. The C900's p-brake actuated the disc, as did my old Taurus SHO. I have no idea why Saab went back to a drum brake.
Not sure about the wear indicators, I changed mine before they got that far. I'm sure there is something built into the pads that would squeal when they get low, but I don't think there is a wear indicator that would trip a light on the dash or anything.
