had (and do have) non-start problems.
1. (SYPMTON) seemingly heat related (hot LA days) engine would not start. would have to hold on the ingnition and flutter accelerator whereupon the engine idle would fluctuate between 900 and 2000 rpm. (FIX) dealer couldn't replicate problem on one occasion cleaned throttle body (didn't fix problem but caar had better pickup!) dealer finally replicated problem and replaced fuel pump and filter and stated that gas tank was dirty.
2. (SYMPTON) On occasion (non-ambient temperature dependent) car will either not start (transmission warning light will come on) or car starts but will not accelerate as though transmission were slipping (actually feels as though i've engaged the 'winter' setting for the transmission. (FIX) none yet, the work around has been to turn the ignition ignition off, wait a few minutes, move the transmission through the gears whereupon it will start. There is a reference in the owner's manual to a non-start situation which reccomends drive turn off the ignition to 'reset' the computer.
