Usually the broken wire is on the door side of the seat. the upholstery is hooled all around the bottom of the frame.Push down on the seat to release the tension and it should unhook.Peal back the seat cover. You should be able to see a slight burn spot where the wire is broken. Solder it back together (I put a shrink fit unsulation over the solder joint) Hope this helps did mine in the fall and gound 3 twonies when I took the seat out.
