I paid about $135 for the OEM, standard muffler w/connecting pipe from Trollhätten about a year ago. As for the clamp nut torque, just tighten them (don't try to twist them off). I don't think any mechanic would bother to use a torque wrench to ensure a given torque.
Back your car up on your ramps. Squirt some penetrating oil on the clamp nuts and wait 5 or 10 minutes; you should be able to get them off with no trouble and save yourself the cost of a new clamp. After you have removed the clamp, you will probably find the large, bell-shaped flanges are stuck together. Use a broad, blunt flat-head screw driver and a hammer to whack the outer flange on its rim. About three hits should pop it loose. Be aggressive but not destructive.
The whole job is a piece of cake that should only take about 1/2 hours and save you about $100.
