If you look at the FAQ area on this site you will find specific instructions on how to do exactly what you are talking about. It would be very similar to the Legacy based on your description. You have to loosen the nut holding the antenna molding down. Guess what? The Saab tool (lugwrench) you use to loosen your lug bolts, wheel bolts, drive wheel fasteners whatever they may be called in your neck will also fit the nut, assuming you are able to get the antenna back down, if not you will have to find a wrench, spanner of correct size.
