gas pedal that is. I test drove a 98 900set tonight and immediately realized my pedal was way too stiff, I have 95 900set 5speed and the throttle pedal was really hard to depress. I took some advise from Dean and REM and lubed it up pretty good, I checked that the cable wasnt being crimped in any way and that the plastic cover was in tact. After lubing and checking it was still stiff as hell, I then located two coil springs that act to retard and advance the pedal respectively located where the cable connects to the throttle body. I simply disabled the one that retards the pedal and now it feels like the 98 I just drove, smooth as ever. I dont think leaving the one spring disabled is a good idea, so tomorrow I will take it off and snip away some coils. Before I do that I might try switching the two coil springs, perhaps the one that returns the pedal to its undepressed state is too weak. Any input?
