Kudos to the tirerack for providing so much information. Although I'd prefer multiple data sources, everything you read about the Potenzas is great. I also tend to think that people who buy Sumitomo and Kumho have lower expectations than Bridgestone customers so the feedback is especially impressive. The treadwear is even a bit higher and since they're not running them in the winters, they should last those driving normal mileages many years even with agressive driving...i.e. the cost difference should be something like $2 a month. ($3 for a canuck)
In their own tire test the Bridgestone conclusively kicked the Comp T/A and the SP8000 (note that the Comp T/A lap times must be incorrect based on the rest of the scores). I have lots of miles on the SP8000 and that's a great tire, if the RE730 is better then wow. I'll be picking up a set in a couple of weeks and I'll feed back my impressions then.
Cheers,
George
