The AMSOIL filter is not the same as the Frantz, although the basics are the same. The AMSOIL filter is compressed cotton/wood, and is good for about 25,000 miles (with AMSOIL). I've got one on an 85 900T. Have not seen a good spot on my 88 9000T, so go with 10K drain, 5K filter change.
Have not examined my daughter's 96 900SET for a place.
