basically the door speakers were removed and replaced with alpine spr175 components. I used a 2.2 micro farad cap on the tweeter to lessen the sound gap between the door mounted woofers and the sail mounted tweeters. I ran a mrv-407 four channel amp to the front components. I then replaced the stock 3 1/2 " dash speakers with another set of 3 1/2" alpine coakials. The alpine spr172 6.5" coax were mounted in a custom abs plate filling the hole of those aweful stock 6x9's. Another four channel 407 runs these two sets of speakers. Finishing up I installed wave drivers under the passenger and driver side knee boards and powered them with an alpine 1507. These things make your ears bleed(they are actually used in most huge night clubs) For subs I have 3 PWD 304 MB quart 12's in a sealed box firing forward in reverse phase. This allows them to hit hard and use the air in the cabin for the thump instead of the trunk lid. In terms of the radio I use the stock head unit with 2 audio control hi/lo's. these run into an audio control 30 band eq and ultimately audio control line drivers. Screw the din plug. Line drivers are the most important but underrated component in clear quality car audio. This system was designed by "turtle man",a 3 time world champion s.q. competitor but was installed and put into action by me. Any questions? e-mail @ gomeno@hotmail.com
