Dean, Bill D, and Dave- please see my replies to your messages on page 5 of the message threads under my original subject (sorry for my delay in responding). I am interested in any further opinions you may have. Even though the rotors were replaced at 45K on this car shortly before the accident, I am also wondering if the rumbling noise/pulsating feeling in the steering wheel could be due to a warped front rotor (defective). My original rotors had an extra machining performed at 19K when the original pads were replaced with different compound pads under warranty to eliminate sqealing sounds while braking (it worked). That's why the original rotors didn't last until around 60k like the dealer said they normally do. I'll have to do more testing to see if the rumbling/pulsating goes away or changes when the brakes are applied to bring the car down from 65 or 70mph.
