It's a design problem with the NG900. And you are right, the airco is the only solution. That is because the compressor sucks up the humidity inside the car. This is clearly explained in the 900 handbook under the ACC section. I advise you to read through it again.
I found out that running the airco for a few minutes after you get into the car from a damp outside, was the best way to control the steamed up windows.
