I have just replaced my clutch cable. It is a self adjusting cable. After I got it replaced, my gears were hard to shift. I called the place I took it to and they said the cable will adjust itself. After a month of driviing, the gears are still hard to shift and now the clutch is making a squcking noise when I release the clutch, almost like the cable has so much pressure on it. It does not happen on highway driving, but in a city where I use the clutch a lot. Can anyone explain why this is happening and how to fix the noise and the hard shifting?
