You could put in lowering springs with higher spring rates. But consider the roads that you drive. You don't want to be smashing your oil pan.
Convertables do have lots of chassis flex. I don't know if high rate springs cause nasty chassis reactions.
I and others have Koni's on the stock SE springs and this works well. If you are looking for the most agressive cornering, perhaps that is not compatable with a convertable.
So you may get some posts from folks with lowered convertables and they may be happy with the results. But the road condtion risk with lowered springs will be your call.
