Let's see if I can describe *this* one. So you know, on your Saab (and all other automobiles), at that instant right when you come to a stop, your brakes sometimes "creak" a little bit? It's a sort of vibration... but not steady. It's NOT a squeak, a squeal or a shriek, but rather, it's much like the sound of stepping on an old hardwood floor, or a groan/moan of sorts. This DOESN'T happen when I brake really really hard. But, it also happens when I let off the brake right at the point where the brake shoes/pads make contact with the discs. Well, this sound/feeling is one that I get EVERY time I stop. It has not always been like this. I have felt this on other cars, but not like on my Saab. I suspect that the wheels need to be balanced/rotated/aligned, and I can't think of any other possibility. Any ideas? Do I need new brakes maybe? The brakes seem to be working quite well otherwise... New brake pads? They were replaced a year ago... help!
