For those who don't want to read the whole sage, here's the conclusion: I like ScandiaTek and would recommend them as a good Saab shop in Denver.
This has been a tough month on me and my 94 900. As I headed up into the mountains on an off-Friday to go skiing, I saw white smoke in my rearview mirror. I pulled over and popped the hood. Fanbelt: check. Pulleys: moving. Fluids: present and not leaking. Scratch head. Knowing full well something is wrong, I head back into Denver and give Scandiatek a call. I explain it all to Mark and he says he can probably get it looked at before they close. Turns out to be one of the idler pulleys disintegrated (but the belt didn't let go!), so they replaced them and put a new belt on and I had my car back by Tuesday morning.
That was a month ago. Today I as I pulled into a parking spot for my last errand of the day, I saw more white smoke coming out from under the hood. Popped the hood and quickly deduced the smoke was coming from the coolant that was leaking. So I called Mark up again (this time at 4:00) and drop the car off. In about 2 minutes they found the hole in the hose and tell me it will be fixed on Monday. They even dropped me off at the car rental place as they were closing up the shop!
Hopefully this will be the last car trouble I'll have for a while. I am quite happy with the service at Scandiatek but please don't go there so I can get my car in without having to wait.
