Hmmm... I think this is a rather unlikely scenario. Now, that everything gets fixed, I might as well keep it for a while. After all, I really like it's unique character. The only two things I would change are wider tires and getting rid of the timing belt worry.
I like hatchbacks because of their practicality and greater look than station wagons. I don't like the 4-cylinder - if I did, I might as well go buy a PT Cruiser. I don't want a "compatible" Japanese vehicle (one that looks like any other). I am not aware of any other hatchback vehicle with a 6 cylinder engine here in the US (in Europe, they have the new Ford Mondeo).
Gosh, my head is hard... ;-)
