The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system has a "Y" connection on the valve cover. The "Y" connection has two hoses goiung to it one is an approximately 3/4" diameter rubber hose that goes from the "Y" comnnector to the air intake, just before the turbocharger inlet. The other is a 4mm vacuum hose that goes from the "Y" connector to the throttle body.
There is a one-way valve (sort of a 3/4" diameter by 1/4" thick disk) in the 4mm vacuum hose between the "Y" connector and the throttle body. The one-way valve has an arrow molded into it like this " > ". The arrow goes toward the throttle body. If the arrow cannot be found, just try blowing through the one-way valve to determine the direction of airflow. The airflow is supposed to be toward the throttle body.
The purpose of the one-way valve is to allow the oil vapor to be pulled from the valve cover to the throttle body (and then burned in the engine) while the throttle body is under vacuum (for example, while at idle or steady driving speed). The one-way valve prevents the turbo pressure from going from the throttle body to the valve cover while the car is under boost(therefore pressurizing the valve cover and crankcase, possibly causing an oil leak or oil blow-by).
The 3/4" hose allows ventilation of the crankcase vapors when the vehicle is under boost (and the end of the 3/4" hose is under vacuum) by puuling the crankcase vapor down to the turbocharger inlet and allowing the crankcase vapor to mix with the pressurized intake air and then be burned in the engine.
