see some recent posts on the performance BB re turbos
The big issue is bolt on replacements that fit the down pipe and manifold.
A T28 or T25/T28 mutt would move more air. The T25 is certainly undersized.
It sounds like you are quite serious about thi$.
Do you like doing the mechanical work yourself, or do you pay someone else to do it?
The '97 has the T5 Trionic ECU. It is very adaptable. ckpaden has a modified ECU and a MBC and is venturing over 22 PSI. So there are some good possibilities. Note that this does not require that you change the injectors or the fuel system pressure. ckpaden was investigating the need for higher fuel pressure as he has also faked out the modified ECU by adding resistance to the manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP), so he is pushing the envelope. And you can do water injection to keep temperatures down at higher boost. Brad on the performance BB can advise on that and will be glad to sell you the components, or install, but he is in Kansas City.
I have made some changes, that you will see on my list. I have a MBC and a stock ECU, plus supension mods.
