I have a 1996 900SET with about 82K and the O2 sensors are original. I have noticed that Bosch has a flurry of advertising about replacing the O2 sensor every tune up. This is crazy and will cost you big $$. Wait until you have the tell-tale signs of O2 failure, eggy smelling exhaust, poor idle, reduced fuel economy. Sometimes these happen so gradually it's hard to tell, but as Dean mentioned over 100K is very possible (this does depend on where you drive and driving habits).
I have a non-Saab car (the other Swedish car) and the sensors went at 75K. The dealer was $200 each (Bosch), my parts guy (a friend) was $125 each (Bosch). I did find online oxygensensor.com and they were $47 for the universal splice in. These ARE NOT Bosch and I was leary of buying from them, but the units are made by Walker in Japan, so this made me feel better. The kit comes with all the directions needed and I would set aside 1 hour if you have never done this before. They also sell universal plug ins with the Saab connector so you do not have to crimp fit this to you exisiting wiring. This make is more like "plug and play".
How good are they? I have only 2K miles on them and they seem to be doing fine. Check back with me when I hit 25K and 50K.....
Hope this helps.
