Sorry if this has been beaten to death already, but I was hoping for some advice/opinions on switching to synthetic oil at the advanced state of 95,000 miles on a V6.

I've changed the oil every 3K and followed the maintenance schedules diligently (including the timing belt and tensioner assembly).

The engine runs smooth and strong, burns no oil and blows no smoke. I'm hoping to kep the car until the doors fall off.

I've read and heard various opinions, but value the opinion of the regulars on this board and wondered what you thought.
