Wiring Harness Replacement = $$$$$$'s! Help Posted by scott brown [Email] (#1388) [Profile/Gallery] (more from scott brown) on Thu, 23 May 2002 19:16:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Dealer (Continental Motors in Oceanside) known as good and reliable informed me today that my check transmission fault light and failure to start was NOT because of gear selector switch BUT from faulty wiring harness - Cost = US$1,500!!!
Technician reports that high resistance along harness is generating numerous incorrect fault codes. The tech did specifically check resistance on the gear selector switch (in one case where no fault light and another with fault condition - both checks on resistance were in normal range).
Advice sought on best approach to handle this.
Regards,
Scott Brown
