I tried the same thing and no luck within a week my headlights were bounching all around.
I them tried to epoxy the adjuster into the bucket and thet didn't work either. Since you can't just buy the little plastic bushing-type thing that is needed to hold the ball part of the ball-and-socket joint, the only options are to:
1. buy a new headlight unit at over $200 each.
2. buy a used one from a recycler.
3. machine/ have made a similar piece that will rteplace the broke POS bushing.
