The MBC makes boost come on much faster, or shall we say suddenly. However, until you get going fast enough you are stuck with a 2 liter engine with a not very high compression ratio. With an MBC you still have this dead zone. But once boost starts is ramps up much faster.
The performance in HOT weather is always a let down. The MBC helps, but hot air does not provide much power.
The worst is for folks who unstall a cone filter that takes in hot air from under the hood.
